Paul Anderson

 

I am a computer scientist and writer, currently acting as Technical Editor for the JISC Technology and Standards Watch service. I have worked in both industry and academia as a project manager, software engineer and research scientist and my experience provides a broad overview of emerging technologies.

I specialise in tracking and writing about the direction and development of new and emerging technologies and I have written articles on computer science and the future of technology for a range of clients including BECTA, the University of Oxford and Computing magazine.

Sue Charles

Sue is CEO of Northbank Communications, a PR consultancy specialising in science communications. She has 20 years experience in science communications and led the PR on Dolly the Sheep. Her consultancy offers science writing, pr strategy and media relations support.

Heather Devany

TalkScience Limited produces digital video and multimedia projects with an emphasis on the requirements of the science and training communities. TalkScience offer a range of communications services, including DVD authoring, web or printed material content proof-reading and editing, crewed video camera hire and video editing.

Ted Nield

Ted Nield is struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has been writing about science for 20  years since ceasing to be a geologist. He now specialises in Earth sciences, as editor of the news-led web site of the Geological Society of London (www.geolsoc.org.uk) and its sister publication, the colour magazine Geoscientist. He is also the society's media relations man.

Rachel Thomas

I am the editor of Plus - a free online maths magazine which aims to promote mathematics to the general public. Previously I worked in IT, a maths and statistics consultancy, and in research mathematics in Australia.
