Chair of the ABSW, Andy Extance and Secretary of the ABSW Deborah Cohen are inviting ABSW members who are attending the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) Conference in Aberdeen or members local to the area, to join them for informal drinks and networking.

Andy and Deborah are presenting a paper at the PCST: How to improve media impact on 'global boiling' to follow on from the session on this subject held at our UK Conference of Science Journalists in 2024

The informal drinks and networking will give the ABSW an opportunity to meet members and their guests who might not usually be able to attend London based events.  Please note you do not have to be attending the PCST Conference to attend, this is also an event for our members local to Aberdeen.

Date/Time: 18:30 onwards Thursday May 29, 2025

Venue: Upstairs bar, The Blue Lamp, 121 Gallowgate, Aberdeen AB25 1BU

If you are attending the PCST and wish to bring a guest also attending the conference, or if you are an ABSW member local to Abderdeen area and wish to bring a colleague whose interests align with ABSW, then do please register them as a guest.

Please make sure you register so that we know how many people to expect.

We look forward to meeting you in Scotland.
